Christmas is not yet here, but in less than a month’s time, San Francisco will light up like an X’mas tree. The reason is one of the biggest tech conferences that you’ll ever witness – The Oracle OpenWorld 2017.
With over 60,000 attendees from 141 countries and 2M+ online attendees, Oracle OpenWorld is one of the largest business and technology conferences for Oracle partners and customers.
It’s the go-to place for learning, connecting, and discussing the latest technology that solves complex challenges faced by companies across the globe.
Phew! Exciting, isn’t it?
Our Team from Whatfix are also going for the big event and well, we dug up a lot of the awesomeness there. So, we thought, why not create a guide that’s useful for all the attendees! (Spoiler Alert: It’s an ongoing guide!)
So, here you go. Your go-to-guide to Oracle OpenWorld 2017.
Let’s start with the dates and registrations.
The big event will be held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco from October 1st to 5th.
That’s five exhilarating days filled with technology, a lot of learning, interacting with people from across the world and moreover fun.
Not registered yet? Fret not. Oracle OpenWorld 2017 registration has 3 options for the attendees.
Our advice would be to go for a Group Pass. It’s a few hundred bucks cheaper, and it has most of the benefits of the full conference.
Can’t find co-workers to go for the event, try the Oracle Community, or posting it on the social media. (Don’t forget #OOW17) In fact, you’ll find many like minded professionals like you who are in the same boat.
This time around, Oracle OpenWorld will feature more than 2,500 sessions and keynotes from renowned industry leaders and innovators. So it’s better to tailor your OpenWorld schedule accordingly. Here’s a sneak peek at Oracle OpenWorld 2017 Agenda.

Oracle’s Keynotes are always wow. And if you’ve heard of the last year’s keynotes, you must have heard of the controversial keynote by none other than The Larry Ellison. In his Oracle OpenWorld Keynote last year, he criticized Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a cloud database environment and did take a lot of heat post that.
Last year also featured innovators like Safra A. Catz (Oracle), Dr. Vishal Sikka (Infosys), Bhanu Murthy B. M (Wipro), Diane Bryant (Intel) and much more. You can watch these keynotes, here.
As for the Oracle OpenWorld 2017 Keynote, unfortunately, the list of keynotes is still not public. We’ll update you as soon as we get more details on that.

All business aside, this is the most exciting part of the conference.
The Oracle OpenWorld 2017 concert (a.k.a Oracle CloudFest 17 ) will feature CHAINSMOKERS AND ELLIE GOULDING!! (cues Chainsmoker’s Closer on the background!)
The concert will be AT&T Park on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 7 pm to 11 pm.
AT&T Park is in the South Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, which is about a 15-minute walk from Moscone Center. The CloudFest 17 passes (wristbands) is included in the Full Conference pass.
You must already be out of your head with excitement. (Tbh, we are!) So, before you are on your way to the time of your life, just another heads up.
We’ll also be there as an exhibitor in Oracle OpenWorld 2017.
This time our team will be there at Booth #4008 at the Moscone Center. And there, we’ll show you how you can accelerate your Oracle cloud adoption effectively with our real-time contextual help.
